Essential Questions: How can you test your house to see how energy efficient it is?

I will be calling on groups to test their houses. While you wait to test, and while your house is being tested, you must complete the following assignments:

Go to BrainPop and do the following:

• Watch the movie: Scientific Method
• Take the REVIEW Quiz 

Go to IXL and complete the following challenges:

• R.1 Identify steps of the scientific method (6th grade)
• U. 1 Collect and graph temperature data (5th grade)
• U.2 Weather and climate: interpret text (5th grade)
• N.1 Use weather to describe climates (6th grade)
• O.1 The carbon cycle (6th grade)

Insulation Materials and Measurements List

• Figure out how much cardboard you need for your interior walls/floor/ceiling by measuring and calculating the surface area. 

• Determine what you will use for insulation between the two walls. (air? bubble wrap? egg cartons?, etc?)

• Fill out this Google Form (one per team)
